Given that the Fight for NY storyline picked up right where 2003's Def Jam Vendetta left off, it seems reasonable to assume that the new storyline will predate that of the first game.ĭef Jam: Fight for NY: The Takeover's story mode will essentially comprise a string of increasingly difficult fights that are punctuated by cutscenes.

Def Jam: Fight for NY: The Takeover will feature a new storyline that we know very little about at this point, save that it'll be a prequel of some description. If you've played Def Jam: Fight for NY previously, you'll almost certainly remember the game's story-driven single-player mode, in which you created a character for yourself and fought against the evil forces of Crow-as played by Snoop Dogg. The game's stars are as recognizable on the PSP as they were on home consoles. We got our first look at the PSP game earlier today and are pleased to report that it looks to have plenty to offer for newcomers and veterans of the series alike.
